I’d venture to say that the ukulele is more popular now than it has ever been. The instrument is featured prominently in recent hits such as “Hey, Soul Sister” by Train and “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz. Artist like Bruno Mars, Jack Johnson, Ingrid Michaelson, and Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) are also using the ukulele in their music. What’s not to love, really? The ukulele invokes images of island life, it produces a jovial tone, and it looks, well, just plain cute!
In the spirit of ukulele-mania, we’ve put together a workshop to help others explore the enjoyment of playing the ukulele like we have. So if you’ve got a ukulele, but you’re not sure how to make it work for you, then we’ve got the answers! In this one-hour workshop we’ll cover all of the basics to get you strumming, playing songs, and having fun with your uke!
